Rollercoaster 21 WMRA Mountain Running World Cup 2026?! This route will make your heart beat faster than a rollercoaster!

The WMRA Long Distance World Cup final will be held on this track in 2026. The significant part of the route coincides with the second part of the marathon distance. Already from the start, it climbs sharply up the wide road to Czupel, gaining over 500 meters of elevation in the first three kilometres. There, a few hundred meters before the summit, it joins the 43 km route. The runners turn left and head towards Czernichów by a long, technically demanding downhill. After the trail leaves the forest and enters the meadows, a picturesque view of Międzybrodzie Lake and the dam in Tresna opens up in front of the participants of the race.
Afterwards the route leads through Czernichów, where one of the checkpoints, the second regeneration point and the fan zone are located. From here, the participants cross the suspension bridge to the other side of the Soła River and continue along the eastern side of Międzybrodzie Lake. After running through the footbridge, they head towards the dam and leave the paved road to start the ascent towards Jaworzyna. After less than two kilometers, the route turns left, onto a green trail, after a short flat section, another picturesque downhill awaits the participants, this time to Międzybrodzie Żywieckie. A few high fives with fans in the town and again the uphill stretch – the most difficult on the entire route. An innocent asphalt road beginning climbs up, onto the black trail and a run to the lower station of the cable car to mount Żar. It gets really steep here, on a kilometer along the lift the participants overcome as much as 250 m of elevation! At the top of Żar, there is a second refreshment point and beautiful views. Here the route again joins the marathon route and runs down towards Kozubnik – a former luxury holiday resort. After running through Kozubnik, one more short ascent remains to find yourself in the neighbouring valley and see the finish line at the stadium in Porąbka, right next to the recreational areas by the Wielka Puszcza stream.
