The Beskids’ Lakes District is a picturesque gorge of the Soła River through the western part of the Little Beskids, only 70 km from Cracov – city of Polish kings. Great people, beautiful mountain routes, three lakes and Mount Żar – Mecca of all sports: from cross-country skiing, downhill, cycling to gliding and paragliding. It is here, where we have prepared a running festival with four distances to choose from: 3.5 km Czupel Vertical with 600 m of elevation, 46 km (ultra)marathon, 25 km and 17 km. On these paths you will taste the quintessence of the local mountains: get to know their nature, stunning views, surprising wildness and forgotten corners, reminding you of the old human activity. You will see the past and and the present of Beskids. The ruins of a forest amphitheater and stone shepherd's huts, and modern power plants obtaining energy only from renewable sources, without harming the climate. Here you will draw the pure energy of the mountains.
The idea of the festival was born after the Frassati Mountain Run, after which many runners asked about longer and shorter distances. We decided to show you more of the Beskids’ Lakes District in an extremely beautiful time of year in this region, when the summer sun meets the autumn colors of the forest. Discover the stunning beauty of the Beskids’ Lakes District from Lipnik and Straconka in the West to the Great Yew Grapa in the East, from the dam in Tresna in the South to Porąbka in the North.
